Renovation worth half a million dollars will be carried out at the Sikh temple at Moala Street in Samabula at the end of July.

Temple Committee President Meja Singh says that the Architectural design will finish in four weeks after which they will they be going to the Suva City Council for the building approval.

Singh says they will be running a tender with four building contractors.

Meanwhile, Jon Orton from the Orton Architects says that the building will be designed in a way where a large congregation will be able to fit in.

Meanwhile, the renovation work is expected to finish in six months.

The Sikh Temple was built in 1923.
